<p>To prevent generation of a reproduction error at a portion where overwrite has been performed even when using a track of very small width. A signal generator (11) generates a signal corresponding to data of a predetermined pattern which stabilizes operation of a synchronous pulse generator of a reproduction system (shown in another drawing). A timing generator (4)switches a selector (12) to the output side of the signal generator (11) at a timing going back by at least one track from the signal input moment. When output of a signal corresponding to data of a predetermined pattern from the signal generator (11) is complete, the timing generator (4) switches the selector (12) to the signal side. In the reproduction system, there is provided a circuit to identify data of the aforementioned predetermined pattern and data of the signal among the reproduction signal reproduced from recording on a magnetic tape (T).</p> |
