A method of controlling vermin in a double leaved cavity wall (1) by inserting a plug-like member (15) containing poison into an inclined hole (11) forming a feeding chamber in the outer leaf (2) of the cavity wall (1). As the plug (15) is eaten, it will slide down the hole (11) into the cavity (6). Alternatively, it can be retained within the hole spaced-apart from the cavity so that the vermin have to enter the cavity to feed.
