The invention relates to a device for pulling on socks, comprising a frame ( 1) that has two longitudinal bars provided with grab handles (11) on the top en ds and a U-shaped tensioning bracket (3) for receiving the sock between the bottom ends of the longitudinal bars (2). In order to achieve advantageous constructional conditions, a clamping device is assigned to the tensioning bracket (3) that is fixedly connected to the longitudinal bars (2), wherein said clamping device consists of two adjusting rods (4) that can be displace d along the longitudinal bars (2) against the clamping force of closing spring s (8), said adjusting rods being connected by means of a clamping bracket (5) interacting with the tensioning bracket (3) above said tensioning bracket (3 ).
