<p>A method and apparatus for retrofitting existing waste water treatment facilities.Generally vertical partitions (60) are installed at spaced locations in the existing basin to divide it into a plurality of treatment stage regions. At least one airlift is installed in each region and a plurality of porous floatable particles (150) is loaded into each stage.The airlift provides aerobic waste flow(142,144,146,148).Water ,but generally not the particles, flows from one region to another region.</p> |
