METHOD FOR REMOVING FLOATING MATTER AND CHLORINE FROM COOLING WATER USED IN GAS CLEANING FACILITY OF IRONMAKING PROCESS AND ITS APPARATUS

PURPOSE: A method for removing floating matter and chlorine from cooling water used in gas cleaning facility of ironmaking process and its apparatus are provided to prevent pipe corrosion due to chlorine by ozone treatment and electrolysis. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a condenser(2) into which ozone gas is supplied to oxidize floating matters contained in cooling water discharged from gas cleaning facility(1); a settling tank(3) in which the floating matter is settled in the form of oxides; an electrodialysis tank(5) which is divided into two chambers by ion membrane(51) so that oxide-free cooling water from the settling tank is electrolyzed to gasify Cl ion into chloride gas; a liquid/gas separator(6) which strips chloride gas from the cooling water; and chloride gas eliminator(8) which reacts chloride gas generated from the liquid/gas separator with sodium hydroxide solution for precipitation.
