<p>An adapter plate (17) transforms a vacuum manifold designed for standard multi-well plates that are commonly used in biochemical laboratories into one that can be used for columns, such as chromatographic and filtration columns. The plate (17) contains an array of male-female-type complementary connectors (18). Each connector (18) fitted with a removable plug (26) that seals the connector (18) off when not in use. The plate (17) thus allows the manifold to be used for as few as one column or any number up to the total number of connectors (18) in the plate (17).</p> |
