PURPOSE: A method and a system for managing the intellectual property for the management of an idea proposition are provided to make an employer directly register an idea proposal, to authorize to apply an invention for a patent by using an intranet, and to decide to propose an idea or apply for the patent without a document. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a research institute interface(110), a patent management system(100), and a patent office interface(120). The research institute interface is connected with the patent management system via the intranet or the Internet. The patent office interface is connected with the patent management system via the PSTN(Public Switched Telephone Network) or the LAN(Local Area Network). The interfaces include the data transformation units(140) for exchanging the data with the patent management system. The data transformation units include the modems and the LAN cards. An employer writes out an idea proposition by directly inputting the details of an invention to the patent management system.
