A device to communicate data received from a medical device disclosed. The device comprises a hosting assembly; an input data port accessible through the hosting assembly and capable of acquiring medical data from a medical device; an output data port accessible through the hosting assembly; and a bi-directional data buffer operatively connected to the plurality of input data ports and the output data port.
