PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a labor is required to reconcile a prevention of rattling between a steering shaft and a bearing and an easy assembling of the bearing at a steering device. SOLUTION: A sleeve 17 comprising an elastic body for removing rattling between an inner ring 50 and the steering shaft 3 is interposed between the inner ring 50 of the bearing 5 supporting an upper part of the steering shaft 3 and the steering shaft 3 in this steering device 1. A taper surface 27 of an outer periphery 26 of the sleeve 17 is butted to an inner periphery 51 of the inner ring 50. A flange 24 of the sleeve 17 is engaged with an annular groove 33 of the steering shaft 3. The inner ring 50 is clamped between the flange 24 and a stepped part 42 of the steering shaft 3 and the bearing 5 is positioned in an axial direction of the steering shaft 3. At the time of assembling, after the bearing 5 is assembled to the steering shaft 3 with a play, the sleeve 17 is assembled to remove rattling. A labor for a management of an accuracy of parts conventionally required is not required by the sleeve 17. |
