PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive zoom camera capable of zooming and focusing by using a single driving source, and also, having a small number of components. SOLUTION: As for the zoom camera with two or more lens groups, the zoom camera is provided with a zooming driving ring (Z cam) for driving a specified lens group, a focusing/zooming driving ring (ZF cam) for driving another specified lens group, a driving source for rotating the ZF cam in forward and backward directions, a clutch means constituted of an engagement part for pressing and rotating the Z cam in accordance with the rotation of the ZF cam and an idle feeding part for preventing the Z cam from being pressurized and rotated, a detecting means for detecting the driving quantity of the ZF cam pressurized and rotated by the engagement part, an initial position detecting means for detecting the initial position of a focusing operation in the idle feeding part, and a control means for performing a focusing operation in accordance with the rotation of the ZF cam in the idle feeding part, performing a zooming operation in accordance with the cooperative rotation of the ZF cam and the Z cam by the engagement part, and detecting the initial position before starting the focusing operation. |
