PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system which can select a running route by taking into consideration the degree of a change in an altitude. SOLUTION: When a plurality of running routes are searched by a route- search processing part 22, a map plotting part 14 generates map plotting data used to display a plane map image in a range including the respective running routes so as to be stored in a VRAM 16. A search-result plotting part 26 generates the search result of the plurality of running routes on the map image so as to be stored in the VRAM 16. A cross-section plotting part 30 generates plotting data used to display a cross section regarding the plurality of running routes. An image composition part 34 performs a processing operation in which the plane map image including the search result is displayed on the upper side on the screen of a display device 6, and in which the cross-section image of the plurality of running routes is displayed on the lower side on the screen of the display device 6. |
