PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing mechanism maintenance and recovery unit and an ink-jet recording apparatus, capable of restraining the ink consumption, reducing the running cost, executing an ink sucking operation in a short time, and preferably maintaining the printing quality of the ink-jet recording apparatus. SOLUTION: A printing mechanism maintenance and recovery unit comprises a sealing means (10) for sealing a predetermined nozzle, a negative pressure generating means (14) for having the inside of the sealing means in a negative pressure state, and a moving means for towing the sealing means. |
