MULTI-COLOR THERMAL PRINTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce variation in coloring performed by each color printing data on one line by a method wherein a peak current at a time when a strobe signal is turned on is reduced and a drop voltage is reduced too. SOLUTION: There is disclosed the multi-color thermal printer that comprises a thermal head 1 for performing the printing on a multi-color thermal paper and a CPU (control section) 3 that controls to allow the thermal head 1 to print printing data including multi-color information. The control section 3 divisionally inputs the multi-color printing data to the thermal head 1. The printer further comprises a head control section 2 that controls to energize to heat the thermal head 1 for an ON-time of the strobe suitable for coloring each color based on each color printing data.
