PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form the shape of a select cable mounting bracket, mounted on the side of an automatic transmission for a cab over type vehicle, into a proper shape, to enable mounting the select cable without interference with other part which the select cable approaches, and to improve assembly workability. SOLUTION: An engine and an automatic transmission are mounted between a pair of right and left side frames, extending in the longitudinal direction of a vehicle, such that a crank shaft points to the longitudinal direction of a vehicle. A select cable mounting bracket to hold a select cable is situated on one side wall surface of a casing for the automatic transmission, and other parts are disposed in the vicinity of the side, extending in an external direction of a vehicle, of the select cable mounting bracket. In a so constituted mounting device for the select cable, a cable mounting surface having a mounting hole for fixing the select cable is vertically formed at the select cable mounting bracket, and an opening part for insertion of a cable communicating with the mounting hole is formed in an inclined state in a state to point to the outside and between a horizontal state and a position right therebelow.
