PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing powder preparation of Chinese crude drugs. SOLUTION: In Chinese herbal remedies, there are extract preparations, pills, and powder prepararions, and in case of the extract preparations the residues remained after being extracted is usually throwing away, however possibly slight amounts of important effective ingredients are still remained in the residues. On the other hand, in case of pills and powder prepararions, the obtained crude drugs are heated upon charcoal fire or put in an autoclave at 20 to 30 minutes, therefore the effective ingredients may be encountered in denger of decomposed by heat. So, Chinese crude drugs are pulverised, and to determine the temperature just before burn of each one of the crude drugs, then the each one of crude drug is roasted at temperature slightly lower than the above-mentioned detected temperature (about 5 deg.C lower than the detected temperature) for 5 to 6 hours. By roasting the crude drug at suitable temperature, the whole portion of the resulting roasted crude drug can be aimed at digestion and absorption. |
