PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide paste which can immobilize an analytical sample onto a sample stage without damaging the analytical sample and easily move/remove the analytical sample to/from the sample stage, and to provide a preprocessing method using the paste. SOLUTION: The paste for the analytical sample contains liquid crystal, and the preprocessing method of the analytical sample employs the paste.
