PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical switch of simple structure that can stably maintain optical paths without being supplied with electric power, can be small-sized, and can switch the optical paths at a high speed, whose light quantity hardly varies at input and output ports of an optical fiber and whose energy loss is reducible. SOLUTION: This optical switch comprises an optical element 1 which has selectable optical paths and a rotary type driving mechanism 5. A selected optical path can stably be held without any power supply and the optical paths can easily be switched at high speed. Further, a very small-sized optical switch can be actualized. |
