PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biochemical examination method capable of simultaneous ly detecting light intensity corresponding to respective probe array elements in a practically large dynamic range even when using an area sensor or a line sensor having an ordinary dynamic range. SOLUTION: A plurality of images obtained by changing received light intensity of an array type detector at a known rate are compared to detect intensity in proportion to intensity of the emitted light emitted by a light emitting molecule existing in an area of the respective probe array elements.
