PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnostic method for diagnosing concretely the abnormal state by detecting a decomposed component from insulating oil inside oil-filled electric apparatus. SOLUTION: In this abnormality diagnostic method of the oil-filled electric apparatus, a sample of the insulating oil is collected from the oil-filled electric apparatus, and the decomposed component having a low vapor pressure and a high boiling point dissolved in the sample oil is detected, and existence of high temperature heating inside the oil-filled electric apparatus or existence of discharge is discriminated by the concentration ratio between methyl vinyl acetylene and 2 methyl 1, 3 butadiene in the detected decomposed component, to thereby diagnose the abnormal state.
