PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inclined shaft type axial piston pump/motor which can shorten a process of manufacture, facilitate work, and reduce a cost. SOLUTION: Provided are a drive shaft 1 having a plurality of ball joints 3 around the center of rotation of an end part 8, and a cylinder block 2 having a plurality of pistons 6 corresponding to each ball joint 3 and a piston axial line 2a inclined relating to an axial line 1a of the drive shaft 1. A recessed spherical surface 12 fitted to freely slide on a spherical surface of the ball joint 3 are also provided in a plurality of the pistons 6. The recessed spherical surface is ground out on a member forming the piston, or a member having the recessed spherical surface is welded to the piston.
