UV-sensitive dosimeter material contains UV-absorbing diazonium salt(s) of formula (I) and a binder; in which R1, R2 = hydrogen (H), halogen, 1-5 carbon (C) alkyl, 1-5 C alkoxy or aryloxy and R2 may also = NR'R" (R', R" = alkyl compounds or heterocyclic amines) or COOR4 (R4 = 1-5 C alkyl); R3 = H or 1-5 C alkoxy; X<-> = an anion of the usual type for diazonium compounds or a perfluorinated aliphatic or aromatic anion. Also claimed are methods of (a) making the material and (b) measuring the amount of UV radiation.
