<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hood hinge structure of an automobile which reduces the impact on a pedestrian as much as possible when a traveling vehicle collides with the pedestrian, in particular, when the pedestrian is knocked over on the hood and crashed with the hinge structure of the hood. SOLUTION: An auxiliary housing part, which is capable of sliding in the upper and lower direction at a housing part and inside the housing part, is provided between the hood and a vehicle body in a part where the hood is mounted to the vehicle body, and an expansion body, which burns rapidly and expands like an air bag at the time of impact generation, is provided to a housing bottom part. And, at the time of the impact generation, when the pedestrian is knocked over on the hood, the hood also jumps up in the upper direction caused by the expansion of the expansion body, and an impact degree on the pedestrian is reduce by receiving the pedestrian on the hood.</p> |
