<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head protective air bag device which can generate tension in the longitudinal direction with ease in the air bag at the completion of development expansion, even when the air bag device is to be mounted on a vehicle such as a single carburetor car or the like wherein the rear wall part is so arranged that the rear wall part is made nearly orthogonal to a side window on the back side of the side window covered with the air bag. SOLUTION: The air bag 20 covers the side window SW located at a vehicular side face VS at the development expansion, with its tip ends 32b, 34b of the longitudinal direction on both sides fixed to the car body 1. The rear side tip end 34 is mounted on a position away from the vehicular side face VS of a rear wall part 12. A guide metal fitting 45 which can guide the air bag 20 to protrude downward at the development expansion and can regulate the air bag 20 to move to the cabin side at the completion of the development expansion is arranged near the corner part C of the vehicle V1.</p> |
