PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating which forms a coating film exhibiting functions such as stainproofing property through photocatalytic action, and having improved durabilities of the functions, a coating method using the coating and a coating film made from the coating. SOLUTION: The coating which forms a coating film exhibiting functions such as stainproofing property through photocatalytic action, and having improved durabilities of the functions, is obtained by compounding a colloidal emulsion of a silica-copolymerized acrylic resin with titanium oxide having a photocatalytic activity. The coating film having the functions can be obtained by a coating method comprising coating application followed by drying or baking.
