PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an original plate of a planographic printing plate by which a positive type original plate for planographic printing excellent in sensitivity and so excellent in aging stability as to suppress the lowering of its sensitivity with age can easily be produced. SOLUTION: In the method for producing an original plate of a planographic printing plate, a photosensitive layer is formed on a support by applying and drying a coating liquid for the photosensitive layer prepared by dissolving a photosensitive image forming material containing (A) a water-insoluble and alkali-soluble resin, (B) a photothermal conversion material and (C) an aromatic compound having a sulfonyl group in its molecule, such as p-toluenesulfonic acid in a solvent having <=120 deg.C boiling point. |
