PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably perform a welding work without generating shock when an electrode chip is opened/closed. SOLUTION: A movable electrode chip 30 is opened/closed to a fixed electrode chip 32 under the rotary action of a feeding screw mechanism 36 connected with a servo-motor 34 and also, in a contacting portion between a hollow rotor 46 constituting the above servo-motor 34 and a nut member 92 constituting the above feeding screw mechanism 36, a buffering member 104 for absorbing the shock generated between this nut member 92 and this rotor 46 is disposed.
