PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a can having a print part in which gradation is visually smoothly reproduced from a highly colored part to a light colored part by a simple method at low cost by utilizing a conventional plate making machine, printing machine and picture processing software for general purpose use. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method for a can having the print part in a body, a manuscript printed on the body is digitized and a digital gradational image is produced. This digital gradational image is copied, and a mask image is produced by applying binarization processing to this copied digital gradation image. The mask image is covered on the digital gradational image, and thinning processing is applied to the digital gradational image. A print plate is produced according to this thinning-processed digital gradation image, print is applied to the body by the printing machine which uses this print plate, and the can in which the gradation in the print part is visually smoothly changed is manufactured. |
