PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a heat-sensitive recording material having excellent antistatic properties. SOLUTION: The heat-sensitive recording material comprises a heat-sensitive color developing layer containing a normally colorless or pale color developable compound and a developable compound which can color develop the color developable compound at a heat time as essential components on a support. The material contains a polyoxyethylene-sorbitan fatty acid ester. The support is a plastic film or synthetic paper.
