摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flywheel and an energy stored device which is superior in cost benefit, low in loss of energy in operation, simple in structure and easy to install and which will not degrade the environment. SOLUTION: The flywheel is constituted so that a thin steel plate (strip) made of a low carbon steel, which remains to be work hardening by a cold heading, is wound on a drum in coil shaped fashion and thereby enabling it to produce cheaply. In addition, it is so constituted to work in the region of ratio of internal diameter of a strip coil wound over the drum per outside diameter frame 0.58 to 0.9 and enable to correct weight versus moment of inertia. Furthermore, tension force for winding on the drum becomes smaller, as the strip coil proceeds toward its periphery, so that it is adapted to make a drum material less expansive. The flywheel 100A is supported via small- diameter rollers 6a, 6b by large-diameter rollers 7a, 7b supported on bearings 103a, 103b.
