PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polypropylene resin composition for an oriented film maintaining a practical level of transparency and anti-blocking properties and excellent in rigidity, degree of heat shrinkage and orientation processability, and to provide a method for producing the resin composition and an oriented film. SOLUTION: The polypropylene resin composition for an oriented film comprises a propylene polymer A contained within a certain range of content having an intrinsic viscosity [η]A within a certain range and a melting point TmA within a certain range, and a propylene polymer B contained within a certain range of content having an intrinsic viscosity [η]B within a certain range and a melting point TmB within a certain range, wherein the ratio of the melting point TmA of the propylene polymer A to the melting point TmB of the propylene polymer B is within a certain range; the ratio of the intrinsic viscosity [η]A of the propylene polymer A to intrinsic viscosity [η]B of the propylene polymer B is within a certain range; and a melt flow rate is within a certain range.
