PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the air/fuel ratio feedback control optimally by previously controlling the vaporized fuel quantity being purged without exceeding the upper limit corresponding to the operation condition. SOLUTION: There is provided a vaporized fuel controller for an internal combustion engine provided with an operation state detecting means for detecting the operation state of the internal combustion engine, an upper limit calculating means for calculating the upper limit of the vaporized fuel corresponding to the detected operation state, and a vaporized fuel quantity calculating means for calculating the vaporized fuel quantity purged into the intake system so as not to exceed the upper limit. A purging means for purging the vaporized fuel generated in the fuel tank into an intake system of the internal combustion engine is operated so as to purge the vaporized fuel quantity of the quantity calculated so as not to exceed the upper limit.
