PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve improvement of working environment, effective use of working space, enhancement of work efficiency and reduction of working hours in drive shaft assembly. SOLUTION: The drive shaft assembly line consists of components including a fixed type constant velocity universal joint, a sliding type constant velocity universal joint, a shaft, a boot and a boot band. The assembly line comprises processes for constantly delivering respective components to a prescribed position, inserting a shaft into respective boots, fitting an inside joint member of respective joints to both ends of a shaft respectively, fitting an outside joint member of respective joints to the inside joint members at both ends of the shaft respectively, and sealing a grease in the boot to cover the outside joint member of respective joints with the boot. The whole processes are distributed to a plurality of positions to execute work in respective processes by articulated robots R1-R5 disposed in respective positions, wherein an assembly is passed to the next process by interfacing between the articulated robots with each other.
