PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaluating device, an evaluating method for unevenness of gloss and a computer-readable storage medium storing program for this method which evaluates intensity of reflected light from the surface of a sample, spatial frequency characteristics of the unevenness of gloss, human visual proper ties and sample colors. SOLUTION: This method evaluates unevenness of gloss of a sample according to the following procedure. First, an image pickup device takes an image containing regularly reflected light component from the sample to calculate an average of the image. Second, a deviation of each image of the pixel from the average is calculated to obtain a deviation image. Next, the spatial frequency characteristic of the deviation image is multiplied by that of human eyesight and integrated. The value obtained from the integration is multiplied by a proportion coefficient to obtain an evaluation value of unevenness of gloss. |
