PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize image density with respect to an image forming device. SOLUTION: This image forming device is equipped with a photosensitive body belt where an electrostatic latent image is formed, a developing roller 15 which develops the electrostatic latent image formed on the photosensitive body belt by using toner, a 1st bias power source 19 which is variable in applied voltage level and applies a bias voltage to the developing roller 15, a toner supply roller 14 which supplies toner to the developing roller 15, a layer thickness restriction roller 16 which restricts the toner layer thickness on the developing roller 16, a 2nd bias power source 20 which applies a bias voltage to the layer thickness restriction roller 16, and a density sensor which detects the density of the toner supplied by the developing roller 15; while the potential of the developing roller 15 is varied while the potential difference between the developing roller 15 and layer thickness restriction roller 16 is held constant, the toner density detected by the density sensor is controlled. |
