PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide foreign matter removing device capable of cutting and removing the foreign matter of thin form such as vinyl cord easily and certainly even if such object has entangled with a pulley and of precluding wear of a cutting blade and the pulley. SOLUTION: The cutting blade part 12b of this foreign matter removing device is arranged as approaching and going apart from that part of the periphery of pulley 4 where a conveyor belt 7 is not set and is formed spirally inclined oppositely on the left and right by reference to the pulley middle part about its axial direction.
