PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To thin and reduce the area of an azimuth meter. SOLUTION: A plane coil and at least two groups of thin film magnetic resistance effect element groups are arranged and each constitutes an MR bridge, detects and outputs rectangular two components of geomagnetism so that azimuth information is obtained from these output values.
