PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glow plug which can effectively insulate a section to be insulated while taking constitution easy of manufacture. SOLUTION: An insulating member 101 lies, in such form that it covers either metallic lead wires or a metallic outer tube 3, between the metallic lead wires (conductive terminals 16 and 17) connected to a ceramic resistor 10 and the metallic outer tube 3, and space (insulation space) of specified interval for insulating them is made between the other and the insulating member 101. Moreover, the conductive terminals 16 and 17 lie, each in separate positions, between the ceramic heater 1 and the metallic outer tube 3, and the insulating member 101 consisting of heat-resistant material is arranged in such form as to insulate these between the interposed conductive terminals 16 and 17 and the metallic outer tube 3. This insulating member 101 is arranged in such form as to cover, in circular form from outside, both the outsider peripheral face 1a of the ceramic heater 1 and the conductive terminals 16 and 17 connected on the peripheral face 1a of the ceramic heater.
