PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate an inconvenience that a steering wheel is rapidly made heavier by a generation of a negative pressure in a cylinder passage at the time of rapid steering and returning of the steering wheel. SOLUTION: The steering damper 10 of the power steering device 1 provided with a flow passage direction control valve CV for selectively switching and connecting a pump P and a tank T; and right and left chambers CL, CR of a power cylinder P/C corresponding to a steering operation; a pair of cylinder passages 3, 4 connecting the flow passage direction control valve to the right and left chambers of the power cylinder is provided with variable throttle valves 6, 7 provided at a midway of the respective cylinder passages and restricting a flow in from the power cylinder to the flow passage direction control valve; and check valves 8, 9 connected to the variable throttle valves in parallel and permitting a flow-in from the flow passage direction control valve to the power cylinder. Further, second check valves 13, 14 communicated with the tank T respectively are provided between the respective check valves 8, 9 and the right and left chambers of the power cylinder. |
