PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology which eliminates the need for exact work and a drying time and makes it possible to polish a plurality of end surface parts at the same time without wasting, specially, a polishing sheet. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a holder 8 which arranges a plurality of optical fiber ferrule end surface parts 9a at a polishing position, the polishing sheet 10 which has its surface brought into contact with the ferrule end surface parts 9a at the polishing position, an air cylinder 6 which vibrates the polishing sheet 10 in one direction so that the ferrule end surface parts 9a slide on the surface of the polishing sheet 10, and a speed control motor 17 which sends the polishing sheet 10 at right angles to the vibration direction, and the polishing sheet 10 is rolled and wound and has its payoff part 11 arranged on one side of the polishing position and its take-up part 12 arranged on the other side. |
