METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR COLD STORAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for cold storage by which energy conservation can be contrived. SOLUTION: The cold storage system is provided with a ice water storage tank 1 in which ice water of about 0 deg.C in temperature is stored, an organic solvent storage tank 2 in which an organic solvent of about 0 deg.C in temperature is stored, and a mixed storage tank 8 in which a mixed solution of below-zero temperature is generated by causing freezing point depression by mixing the ice water supplied from the ice water storage tank 1 and organic solvent supplied from the organic solvent storage tank 2 with each other. The device is also provided with a cold heat utilizing system 15 which uses the cold heat of the mixed storage tank 8 lower than a prescribed temperature between the below-zero temperature and 0 deg.C and a separator 19 which separates the water and organic solvent from each other by distilling the mixed solution so as to utilize the cold heat from the prescribed temperature to 0 deg.C.
