PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper prevented from curling caused by paper passing after carrying out the heat transfer printing by using a copying machine or the like for electrophotography, and further to provide a method for producing the paper. SOLUTION: In this paper prevented from curling, an oxidized starch having an aldehyde group as a formed functional group is used as a paste liquid for a surface size press liquid. In the method for producing the paper prevented from curling, the paper is produced by a gate roll coater method(a GRC method) as the surface press method, by using the surface size press liquid obtained by using the oxidized starch having the aldehyde group as the formed functional group as the sizing liquid of the surface size press liquid, and having 10-14 wt.% concentration, and regulating the rotational ratio of a metering roll in the GRC method within the range of 60-80%.
