PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sash bar for construction that controls the deterioration of the strength of grooved parts and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: A sash bar for construction is provided with grooves for water flow or for air flow on at least one side and is characterized by its higher density of the grooved parts than that of the other parts of the bar. This sash bar for construction is manufactured by a method that includes a process of forming the grooves by pressing a stick-shaped resin body that contains voids.
