PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which can shorten the time up to the completion of recording of image data. SOLUTION: When a document 21 is read by a read part and copied to recording paper, recording cassettes which make copying times the shortest are selected for a case wherein image data of the document 21 are copied without being rotated and a case wherein the image data of the document 21 are rotated by 90 degrees and copied. In concrete, the copying time for the former case and the copying time for the latter case are computed respectively according to a read time T1, a paper feed time T2, a recording time T3, the number of documents 21, and the number of copies. Then those copying times are compared and the recording paper cassettes that make the copying times the shortest are selected. Consequently, the time from the operation of a start key to the completion of copying by the inputted copy number can be shortened. |
