PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission type photoelectric sensor accurately regardless of a detection object having high surface reflection factor. SOLUTION: One portion of parallel light being emitted from a light source section 1 is reflected on a detection object W that is nearly at right angle to the advance direction of the parallel light and is returned to the side of the light source section 11. Then, the one portion of the parallel light is conversed by a projection lens 15 and reaches the surface electrode layer of an LED chip 9 of light transmission element 14. Since the light transmission element 14 is arranged while being inclined at an angleθthat is larger than the limiting angleβto an opposing line, light being regularly reflected by the surface electrode layer in an LED chip 9 is shielded by the wall surface of a surrounding projection case 13 without passing through a projection window 12, thus preventing regression light from being received at the side of a light reception section 21. |
