PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inspecting quality of yarn. SOLUTION: In order to judge a defective yarn, an error function is calculated in a yarn washing device 4. This is varied depending on the differences from respective expected values of parameters. The differences are weighted with the distribution degrees of respective parameters Pi. Compared with a conventional method for comparing each parameter with a natural limit value and judging an error state only with the deviation of only one parameter, this method can attain higher reliability in judgment of error.
