PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress unevenness in water content of half-dried grain at a low level before being collected in a drying and conditioning facility in order to attain efficient drying and conditioning of the grain. SOLUTION: A grain drier is provided, in its grain circulating path, with a hot blast generator for drying grain, an exhausting fan for discharging moisture, which has resulted from the operation of the hot blast generator, outside the machine, a moisture meter for detecting water content of the grain, and a control unit for operating and controlling each of the devices. When a drying rate of the grain is selected to be reduced through a switch provided to the control unit, the moisture meter changes a set water-content value for stopping drying operation to a predetermined value.
