PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide stretch slub yarn having excellent stretch performance and a soft and spun-like feeling, and to provide a stretch woven fabric having the excellent stretch performance and the soft and spun-like feeling and further having a designing effect due to thick-and-thin unevenness. SOLUTION: This stretch slub yarn comprises core threads and sheath threads and has many looped fluffs formed on its surface, wherein the core thread comprises crimped yarn, such as false-twisted yarn, or latent crimped yarn, such as conjugated yarn, the sheath thread comprises non-crimped yarn having a boiling-water shrinkage percentage higher than that of the core thread, and the slub yarn has a module of elasticity of >=50% and a percentage of crimp of >=30% measured after treated in boiling water for 30 min. The stretch slub woven fabric is given by using the stretch slub yarn as the weft and has an elongation percentage of >=10% measured at a load of 14.7 N/3 cm.
