PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microscope for surgery adequate for an operator to carry out surgery by disposing a preposing lens in the anterior portion of the eye to be operated and holding surgical appliances on both hands while illumination the interior of the eye by microscopic illumination. SOLUTION: This microscope has the preposing lens 13 which is arranged between an optical system including an objective lens 12 and the eye 7 to be operated and acts to illuminate the eye 7 to be operated, a moving device (a jogging device 3) which integrally moves the preposing lens 13 and the optical system and controllers (a foot switch 31, a lens unit detecting section 32 and a controller 33) which are arranged with the preposing lens 13 in the anterior portion of the eye 7 to be operated and control the moving device in such a manner that the operating direction of the moving device changes over when an inverter optical element (a lens unit 21A) for converting the inverse image of the eye 7 to be operated visible through the lens 13 to an erect image is not inserted into the optical path of the optical system and when the inverter optical element is inserted into the optical of the optical system. |
