PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method for a polymer material having an easily controllable refractive index and a production method for a polymer film. SOLUTION: In this production method for a polymer material, a polymer material for photobleaching is dissolved in an organic solvent, and the resultant polymer solution is irradiated with ultraviolet rays. The refractive index of the polymer solution decreases almost linearly in proportion to the exposure to ultraviolet rays. The gradient of the change in refractive index is moderate, and the amount of the change can be made very wide; i.e., by changing the exposure to ultraviolet rays, the refractive index can be easily controlled. |
