PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a hybrid waveguide module that air bubbles can be removed in a short time even if they remain and optical coupling is not affected even by temperature variation. SOLUTION: Air bubble 26 left near optical elements such as an LD14, a PD15, and an MPD16 mounted on a waveguide element when the optical elements are covered with a silicone resin 18 is moved only by vacuum debubbling through grooves 22 and 25 formed near the light emission and reception end surfaces of the LD14, the PD15 and the MPD16 to easily leave the light emission and reception surfaces of the optical elements, so the air bubble 26 shields none of the light emission and reception end surfaces and the influence on the optical coupling is eliminated. |
